FAQ

  • Can I purchase tickets at the event?

Tickets are available on Eventbrite. We suggest making your reservations there. Each night, there will be ten pay-what-you-can walk-up tickets. So, arrive early to secure your seat. Every performance, we'll also release tickets for no-show ticket holders.

  • Is there a refund?

There are no refunds. If you cannot attend the show the night of your reservation, you can request a ticket exchange for a different night. If seats for your requested night are still available, we'll reserve them for you.

  • Will there be food and beverages for sale?

We'll have concessions available. Our concessions consist of snacks and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) available for a donation. We'd prefer no outside food or drink. Look, if you have a favorite candy you like to eat while watching a play that you bust out of your purse, no one is going to kick you out. But, this is not the place to try and smuggle in a salmon dinner or taco platter. Food can be too aromatic or loud and we want to make sure actors and audience can focus on the play.

  • What are the parking arrangements and directions?

APO is located at 1438 W. 18th Street. You can't miss it: it's the big historic building across the street from Pilsen's famed Cafe Jumping Bean. It's between Blue Island and Ashland. The closest expressway exit is the I-90 18TH ST exit.

There is paid parking available on 18th street and you might be able to find free parking on the residential streets around APO. Pero, like... ojo: many of the surrounding residential streets are permit parking. To be sure if you can park on a particular street, check the signs to see if they note time or permit restrictions.

  • What happens if I'm late?

Here's an idea: don't be late. But, if you are running late, we recommend emailing thewizards2022@gmail.com with an estimated arrival time. We can hold the house for up to 15 minutes each night. However, once the show starts, we cannot allow for late seating. One more time: there is no late seating.

  • Is the space wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately, APO Cultural Center is not wheelchair accessible, there is a small step up when walking into the space, and one set of stairs you will have to go down to enter the theatre.

  • Are there any age restrictions for registration?

We won't card attendees at the door, but we recommend this show for ages 13 & up.

  • Is there a bag and coat check?

We will not have a coat check. But, you can drape your coat on the back of your chair to give some flair or, you know, just sit on it.
